Skin has to be taken care of most in winter. We cannot stop the changing weather but by making some changes in our lifestyle, we can make the skin beautiful and healthy.
First of all, take a bath with lukewarm water rather than taking a bath with very hot water. Hot water removes the natural oils of the skin, due to which the skin becomes very dry. If your skin is dry then reduce the use of soap on face and body. Soap causes great damage to your skin. The pH (potassium hydroxide) of a face wash or body wash is similar to the pH of your skin using which dryness works. However, if you feel very dry on the face, then clean your face with cleansing milk instead of soap or face wash, then use an alcohol-free toner and moisturizer as well.
If your skin is dry then use a good body lotion or body butter for the body and keep a good moisturizer for the face. When purchasing a good moisturizer or body lotion, remember that it contains shea butter or cocoa butter, good natural oils such as almonds, olives and glycerin.
Even if your skin is oily, there is a lack of water in it. At this time, your face needs a gel-based moisturizer that does not contain oil but has good moisturizing agents such as aloe vera, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, cucumber and watermelon. The more water you drink, the more hydrated your skin will be. Even if you feel less thirsty in winter, you are required to drink at least eight glasses of water in the changing season. Eat nutritious food instead of external things. Use fruits and vegetables more and more.
Just as our breathing is important, skin breathing is also important. A dead skin layer forms over our skin, due to which our skin cannot breathe. Due to dead cells, our skin looks dry and does not glow. It is very important to remove these dead cells from time to time which we call exfoliation. For this, use face scrub twice a week. It is very important for the skin to be healthy because it is a shield of our body. Therefore, it is not necessary to take care of the skin just to look beautiful. The healthier our body is, the healthier our skin will be.
